Welcome to our blog. It's been over 8 years since an American high school junior and a Dutch exchange student met in Emmett Idaho.
Now we are living in the Netherlands and this blog will keep you guys up to date on all our overseas adventures.
It's December and that means the holiday season is here, jippie!
Right away on the first Ben, my dad and I went to get our Christmas trees at the church charity sale. Well, Ben and my dad got the trees, I just pointed at the one I wanted really ;)
We spent last weekend with oma Matheij (grandma Matheij, my mom's mother) in her hometown Maastricht. This is a town in the very south of the Netherlands.
We visted the caves of Valkenburg in which there was a really nice Christmas fair. "I like the candy" Baby Mr.T: "I pitty the fool" The caves were really pretty and full of little christmas stands.
The town of Valkenburg has a very nice old city center.
Next to the caves, we also went to downtown Maastricht for a walk. As you can see, it's getting colder over here. On the bridge, overlooking the Maas river.
