the french alps!!!!! part 1

So I have been trying to keep this thing up to date but as you can see I am a little behind. This post will be about our trip to the french alps.  I will every so often have a link to you tube so that you all can watch a few select videos from out time there. For instance

 is from the top of the middle valley at this ski resort. The elevation there at the lift was around 10,000 feet. From the lift here you can get a great view of Mont Blanc. Here is a link to the video from that side

On one of the other days we wanted to try a different run and this run turned out to be a black diamond for a portion of it. It was one of the steeper runs that we did there, and we all knopw how marjolein feels about high places.... ;) But she did it and I was proud.

Dangerous work.

Awhile ago in Huizen we were doing a post-sanitation check up at the location, and as it turns out the contractor didn't cross all his T's.

While taking some soil samples I came across a weird colored ground, it's official name is Berlin Blue and it is a form of cyanide. So I ended up finding a 1 1/2 foot thick layer of this stuff and according to our expert it can be quite deadly.

So naturally I needed to take a sample and while I was at it a nice photo.

2009 in a flash (part 1)

Well its been awhile, so I thought that I would do a quick update and throw a few pics in from 2009.

Abby and Cody get married.

Family comes to Holland and.....

We get married!!!!!

Honeymoon in Mexico.

We get back and buy a new car, Ford Mondeo.

There will be a lot more but I need to get all the photos organized on the computer, that may take me some time. So for now this is a little bit of 2009 in a flash.
